I see an item I like online that isn’t on display in your store, should I still come in?
Absolutely! Our team (who doesn’t work on commission, by the way) will still be able to answer questions for you and help you place an order. While we might not have the exact item you’re looking at in stock, we will likely have similar items in size or style. We may also be able to show you a fabric sample or the finish that you’re looking at so you can make an educated buying decision.

Special Order Items
What is a special order item?
Special order items are items that are not carried in our show room or stocked in our warehouse. Sometimes special order items are similar to items we carry in our stores, but they may vary in color, size, or finish. They may also be unique items. When you place a special order, you are choosing to have furniture custom made for you.
Why do I have to wait longer for my special order item?
When you place a special order, you are choosing to have a unique piece of furniture made just for your home. Because your item is not being mass produced, furniture manufacturers have to spend more time crafting your piece and the pieces of others who have placed special orders for other items. Factory and freight times also play a role in the special order process and creation of your custom item. While we cannot guarantee delivery days, because every manufacturer varies and sometimes unanticipated delays occur, we do maintain positive relationships with our manufacturers. We track all of our special orders for our customers so that we can have your new furniture to you, in your home, as soon as possible.

We don’t work on commission, we’re just here to help you find what you need and answer questions.
So if you have a budget to work within, tell us.
Some prices are set. But some things we might be able to be a little more flexible with.
Maybe you forgo the free delivery special and opt for in-store pick up for a price break?
Or ask us about financing. Maybe the one sofa you love is out of your price range, but we know of a look-a-like style that would work for you.
It never hurts to ask. We are Minnesota nice, after all, and we’re proud of our store.

Layaways are available.
We require a 20% minimum deposit, and layaways are restricted to a 90 day maximum.

Service and Warranty Information
The natural beauty in furniture exists in its natural variation. Each piece is unique through its color, grain, size and other natural characteristics. Sometimes, however, defective furniture happens, and when this is the case, Rooms and Rest does its best to make things right. We abide by manufacturers warranties and will repair or replace your piece if needed. If you have any concerns, give us a call right away.
*Note that warranties don’t apply to “AS IS” or “CLEARANCE” merchandise, or conditions of ordinary wear or defects resulting from improper use, etc. They also don’t apply to commercial use. (See store or your individual warranty for more information.) Our Customer Service department can answer questions relating to your warranty, schedule maintenance and inspections, and even provide excellent tips on what to do if your warranty period has passed but you still need help.
