Which bed is best for me?

Looking to convert your bedroom into a cozy, vintage Farmhouse inspired sanctuary? Or do you prefer a clean, cutting-edge Modern look? Rooms and Rest offers beds for all styles of bedroom. One popular type of bed is the Platform Bed which is sleek and minimalist, offers a sturdy base for a soft mattress to sit on, and does not require a box spring. Panel beds on the other hand usually require a box spring, foundation, or support slats but they provide more room for air to circulate and offer better breathability. Fans of a more traditional look might choose an elegant sleigh bed or a poster bed with a canopy.

Bed Sizes

There are five standard bed sizes to choose from: Twin, Full, Queen, King, and California King. California King beds are biggest and Twin beds are the smallest. Many adults choose Queen Size Beds which might vary in size based on the bed’s design, but they are always large enough to fit a Queen mattress which is 60 inches wide by 80 inches tall.

Bedroom Storage

Whether you’re a self-professed clothing fanatic or aspiring minimalist, everyone needs a bit of bedroom storage. For a large master or primary bedroom, choose a full bedroom suite complete with a dresser, mirror, and chest of drawers. For the multi-functional home, try a vanity table that doubles as a desk or makeup station. Look for quality markers like dovetail joinery and metal drawer glides to guarantee the strength and holding power that will keep your clothes, accessories, and linens safe.

Small Scale Bedrooms

For apartments or small-scale urban homes you can use a bed frame to lift your bed off the floor and take advantage of that under-bed storage. Small bedrooms can also benefit from a full or queen bed with storage built into the footboard. Rooms without closets can make use of stand-alone storage with a handy armoire or wardrobe for storing clothes and shoes. But if you’re really strapped for space, try a headboard with a bolt-on bedframe paired with a small nightstand or bedside table for propping up your lamp and bedside necessities.
